Just wondering if the F. Murnau classic 'Sunrise' is PD or not - I guess not, or otherwise it'd be up here...
I really want to see this 1927 classic, but it's hard to get hold of.

Also, I'm sure that the wonderful 'Charade' with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant is out of copyright - why isn't it available here?

Hello.
I think the trouble with Charade is the Mancini musical theme. But it is full watchable, embedable and downloadable at www liketelevision dot com. (I have it embeded in both of my sites). Google Video rejected its upload. Regards.

"Charade" was here for a while, but apparently there was some element in it that WAS under copyright. It may have been part of the score or something; I don't6 recall for certain. But the Archive-ists took it down rather than take chances.

I was a little disappointed, because I hadn't had a chance to DL it first. :) But I can't blame them for being careful.

"Sunrise" and "Faust" are both published in "The Masters of Cinema Series". The copy on Google (YouTube) is fine and watchable.
